PROMINENT GRAVETTE YOUNG MAN DIES OF APPENDICITIS
Ivan Cato, well known young business man of Gravette, passed away at the City Hospital in Fayetteville Sunday night, Jan. 14th, from an attach of appendicitis. Stricken Friday, he was taken to the hospital that night. Owing to his condition the operation was delayed.
Besides his widow, Mrs. Lenora Russell Cato, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Will Cato, and a young brother, Gerald.
Together with his uncle E.W. Cato, they operated the Cato Motor Co. He was a member of the Gravette City Council, was Worshipful Master of the Masonic Lodge, which order had charge of the funeral services.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. John Stephen pastor of the Baptist Church, conducting the services. Members of the City Council were honorary pallbearers.
