SPRINGDALE -- Bette G. "Teenie" Glasscock, 86, of Springdale died Friday, April 11, 2008, at her home. She was born April 24, 1921, in Joplin, Mo., to Clyde G. and Irma O. Fairchild Allen.

Bette was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Springdale. She was a Girl Scout leader, a former president of the Women's Bowling Association in Fort Smith. She was a worthy matron of Eastern Star in Fort Smith. She volunteered her time in Demolay of Fort Smith. She enjoyed cooking, knitting and preparing for the holidays. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother know as "Memaw." She owned and operated J&B Apartments and J&B Space Rental.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Clifford Glasscock, and one son, Philip Allen Glasscock.

Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Miller and husband, Mike, of Springdale; two sisters, Doris Allen of Fort Smith and Lois Allen of Mission, Kan.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale, www.siscofuneral.com.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, at Sisco Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Bluff Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chris Miller, Matthew Miller, Robert Allen, Ronnie Mallard, Brian Pollreis and Nick Napier.
