John Dixon

John William Dixon, Jr. son of John William Dixon, Sr. and the late Fayetta Richardson Dixon, was born April 8, 1947, in Calico Rock. He departed this life on February 21, 2010, in Calico Rock at the age of 62.

He leaves to mourn his passing: his wife, Velda Dixon of Calico Rock; two sons and two daughters-in-law: John and Nicole Dixon of Calico Rock and Tony and Cassie Chism of Ash Flat; two daughters and two sons-in-law: Maria and Scott Weeks of Vilonia and Tracy and Jack Tucker of Caraway, Arkansas; his father: John W. Dixon, Sr. of Calico Rock; one sister: Linda Horton and husband Ernest of Calico Rock; and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his mother: Fayetta Richardson Dixon.

Funeral services were February 24 at the Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Isaac Gray officiating. Burial will be at Pineville Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.

Memorials may be made to the Calico Rock Volunteer Fire Department.
