Born June 10, 1916, Bloomington, McLean County, Illinois.
Died as the result of a runaway team at Rodney, Baxter County, Arkansas, October 25, 1891.
Husband of Sarah L. Stephens Thompson.
The former U.S. Post Office at Rodney, Arkansas, and hence, the community name, was named in his honor.
He and his sons were stonemasons and they built the stone cryts in the Wayland Arbor Cemetery.
