WELLS, Paulina - Mrs. Paulina Wells died at the home of her son, J.W Wells, in Rogers on March 13th at the age of 96 years. Mrs. Wells was born in Cobarris county, North Carolina Jan. 10, 1833 and when seven years old moved with her family to Russellville, Ark, where she grew to womanhood. She was married to Hugh S. Wells at Russellville in November 1851, Mr. Wells died in Russellville June 8, 1877 and after his death Mrs. Wells moved with her son, M.W. Wells, to Benton county where she had lived until the time of her death. She joined the Methodist Episcopal Church, South in early life and had lived a Christian life until the end came. She is survived by one son, J.W. Wells of Rogers. Funeral services were held in Bentonville Friday, March 15 at 3 o'clock at the Methodist church in charge of Rev. R.S. Hayden of Bentonville and Rev. W.O. Hardy of Rogers. Interment was made in the city cemetery at Bentonville.
