R. Wyatt Wells Dies At 76
R. Wyatt (Jack) Wells, 76, died in his home in Bentonville Sunday afternoon.
A member of an early pioneer family, he was born in Bentonville Nov. 25, 1895, and lived there most of his life. A Veteran of World War I, he was a former Bentonville postal employe and auditor for an oil company. He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Bentonville, the American Legion, and the sons of the American Revolution.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lela Wells of Bentonville; a stepson, John L. Wood of Fort Smith; a niece and nephew; and two grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Burns Funeral Chapel in Bentonville with the Rev. Winfred Bridges and the Rev. Samuel B. Teague officiating. Burial will be in the Bentonville Cemetery under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Bentonville.
