Thursday, July 2, 1931
James Webster Wells, 77, died at his home on East Walnut street Sunday morning following a long illness. A short funeral service was held at the home at 1 p.m. Tuesday and another service at the Bentonville Methodist church at 2:30 with the Rev. Ben C. Few, pastor of Central Methodist church of Rogers, officiating at both services. Burial was in the Bentonville cemetery with A. D. Callison in charge. Mr. Wells is survived by his widow, Mrs. Eliza J. Wells, and two sons.

Mr. and Mrs. Wyatt Wells have returned to their home in Liberty, Ia. after a few weeks here on account of the illness and death of Mr. Wells' father, J. W. Wells
