DUFFY, Charlotte E. DICKSON - Died, at her residence in Bentonville Saturday, Nov. 12 after a long illness, Mrs. Charlotte E. Duffy, aged 39 years. Mrs. Duffy was born Aug. 19, 1853. She professed religion in early life and joined the C.P. Church, of which she has since been a consistent and useful member. She has a host of friends, who mourn her death with sincere sorrow, and their sympathies extend to her husband, who enjoys, in the highest degree, the respect of the entire community. The funeral took place at the C.P. Church at 11 o'clock Sunday in the presence of a large concourse of people. She was buried at the Dickson family burying ground between Bentonville and Rogers. The funeral cortege was a very long one and a large crowd had gathered at the graveyard to witness the last sad rites, attesting the esteem in which she was held.

Sorrow again reigns in another one of our once happy homes and Death with his inevitable summons has called from us a loving wife and a devoted friend, in the person of Mrs. Charlotte E. Duffy, wife of A.W. Duffy, the sad event occurring after a brief sickness at the home of the deceased on Saturday, Nov. 12, 1892, she being in her 39th year at the time of death. Mrs. Duffy, whose maiden was Miss Charlotte E. Dickson, was born in Bentonville Aug. 19th, 1853 and early in life made the "Good Confession" and united with the C.P. church and always lived a pure christian life, dying in full faith of the promise of a blessed life to come. A devoted and sorrowing husband with many friends mourn her premature death. Funeral services were held at the C.P. church on Sunday at 11 o'clock after which a large number of friends and relatives followed the remains to the Dickson cemetery between Bentonville and Rogers, where they were gently laid to rest to await the coming of the One in whom she had lived and trusted.
