Melboourne Times, Melbourne, Arkansas, July 29, 1927, issue:

Child Killed by Truck

James Cone, two-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Cone of Camden was killed Sunday when he ran directly in front of a car driven by Robert Baker, aged 14 of Camden, while playing around his home.

The small child apparently did not see the approaching car until he was directly in front of it. The accident was unavoidable eyewitnesses say. The child died about 30 minutes after the accident.

Mr. and Mrs. Cone were former resident of this county, Mr. Cone being in business at Calico Rock, and the body of the child was taken to that place for burial.

The Times extends genuine sympathy to the bereaved parents in their hour of sorrow.
