Charles A. "Sug" Cox, 69, of 1208 College Ave., died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon. Mr. Cox was born in Noble, Ark., Oct. 12, 1897, the son of Charles B. and Sally Penney Cox. He was a retired painter and a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include: his widow, Mrs. Clida Greer Cox; one daughter, Mrs. Victor Dumas, El Dorado; one son, Charles W. Cox, Corning; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Hughes, Noble, and Mrs. Leila C. Kuster, LeGrange, Ill.; two brothers, Earl Cox, Pekin, Ill., and Frank Cox, Lewisville. Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Pratt's Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Williams officiating assisted by Rev. C. Ray Hozendorf. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery under the direction of Pratt's. Pallbearers will be H. G. Wilson, Milton Green, Henry Hogg, LeRoy Epps, J. A. Golleher, H. A. Davis, Tony Ross and Ernest Bean. The family will be at the home of Victor Dumas. (The El Dorado Times - May 6, 1965)
