Beulah Madeline "Granny" Blackwell, 91, of Springdale died Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, at her daughter's home. She was born March 26, 1915, in White County, Ill., to Clarence and Matilda Henson Buttry. She was a longtime resident of Norris City, Ill., and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She moved to Springdale nine years ago.

Mrs. Blackwell was preceded in death by her husband, Eldred Blackwell, three sisters, Virginia Roark, Edna Ford, Lola Smith, and three brothers, Everett Buttry, Hayward Buttry and Robert Buttry.

Survivors include a daughter, Dwan Chandler of Springdale; two brothers, Ernest Buttry of Norris City, Ill., Kenneth Buttry of Evansville, Ind.; three grandchildren, Robin Pershall of Farmington, John Chandler of Springdale, David Rhine of Fairdealing, Mo., and three great-grandchildren, Shannan Carroll, Brittany Carroll and Paige Chandler.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, at Heritage Funeral Home in Springdale with Pastor Vance Eubanks officiating. Interment will be in Bluff Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Chandler, David Rhine, Rick Pershall, Kenny Roark, Jim Watson and Mike Wood.
