October 2, 1923 - December 16, 1967
Virgil Sinclair, 44, of El Dorado, died Saturday in a local hospital. He was a life-time resident of the Old Union and Lawson Community. He was a member of the Philadelphia Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Virginia Sinclair of El Dorado; his mother, Mrs. Alto Sinclair of El Dorado; three brothers, B. E. Sinclair, and G. T. Sinclair, all of El Dorado; and four sisters, Mrs. Clifton Alphin of the Schuler Community, Mrs. J. T. Alphin and Mrs. Nora Major, both of El Dorado. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Philadelphia Baptist Church with the Rev. J. C. Tipton with the Rev. Howell Tarver and the Rev. Clay Hale assisting. Burial will follow in the Philadelphia Cemetery under direction of Pratt Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Murry Lambert, Hays Frisby, Garrett Alphin, Fred Nash, Jack Arnold and Berkley Frisby. The body will lie in state at the home until 1 p.m. Monday. (El Dorado Times December 18, 1967)
