FOREMAN, Ark.—Ulysses Dixon, 85, of Foreman died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, in Texarkana.
Mr. Dixon was born Feb. 5, 1924, in Clow, Ark. He was a member of St. Matthew Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Helen M. Dixon of Foreman; five sons, Kenneth Dixon, Eugene Dixon and Michael Dixon of Foreman, Ronald Dixon of Conway, Ark., and William “Bill” Dixon of Columbus, Ga.; four daughters, Sheri Collins, Jacqueline Wiseman and Barbara Hunt Williams of Foreman and Constance Jarvis of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two sisters, Alverlean Greathouse of Temple, Texas, and Maple Ingram of Rogersville, Ala.; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Oscar Hamilton Upper Elementary Gym with the Rev. Ronnie “Shoebox” Keener officiating. Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery under direction of Madden Funeral Services.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
