Chas. 0. Rich was born at Fort Scott, Kansas and departed this life October 30, 1925 at 3:00 o'clock a.m. at his home near Avoca. He was united in marriage to Miss Maude M. Rowe August 12, 1899 and to this union were born eight children - four boys and four girls, two of them preceding him to the great beyond. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife and six children; a mother, eight brothers and one sister and a host of friends. The last few weeks of his life he suffered much but always enjoyed having the saints to pray with him. Funeral services were held at the home October 31st. Interment in the McDaniel cemetery. C.B. {from Mountain View) Charlie Rich was born in February 1874 and died October 30th. He leaves a wife and six children: Mrs. Ethel Bradley, Floyd Rich, Zola May, Arthur, Burley and Hazel Rich, a mother and eight brothers and one sister. The children were all present at the funeral save Miss Hazel who is in Oklahoma and did not get the telegram in time to come. Bro. Ben Huff preached the funeral sermon and he was laid to rest in the McDaniel cemetery Mr. Rich had lived in Rogers several years but had traded his property there for a small farm here. Mr. Rich had not been in good health for a long time. He had a nervous breakdown this fall from which he never recovered. Friends extend sympathy to Mrs. Rich and family in their hour of sorrow.
