Mrs. Julia Agnes Rice Harris, 87, of Bentonville, died Thursday morning at Bates Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 26, 1888, on the Winton farm near Pea Ridge which is now the Pea Ridge Battlefield Park. She was the daughter of James A. and Lucy Winton Rice, a prominent Benton County pioneer family. Most of her life was spent in Bentonville except for 20 years spent in St. Louis. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include several cousins.
Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Bentonville Cemetery with the Rev. Sam Teague in charge under the direction of Callison-McKinney of Bentonville.
