HOT SPRINGS — James W. (Slim) Bayley, 89, of Hot Springs died Jan. 10, 1996, at Glenwood Nursing Home. He was born March 7, 1906, at St. Paul to Samuel F. and Polly Ann Ball Bayley. He was former owner and operator of Bayley Brothers Service Station and was a truck driver for Frisco Freight and Arkansas Motor Freight. He also worked for Southland Oil Co. for many years. He moved to Hot Springs n 1995 from Springdale where he had been a longtime resident and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Clark Exum Bayley of the home, to whom he was married Dec. 7, 1935, in Springdale; one son, Franklin Bayley of Garland, Texas; one daughter, Carolyn Clark of Hot Springs; two sisters, Esther Graham of Springdale and Ora Shroff of Tulsa, Okla.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sisco Chapel of Springdale with C.J. Jackson officiating.

Burial will be in Bluff Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Bayley, Jim Clark, John Clark, Michael Clark, Russell Clark and Shawn Goff.
