MRS. FLORA C. GIPPLE PASSED AWAY SATURDAY NIGHT
Mrs. Flora Claytor Gipple, wife of J.M. Gipple, died at the family home, one and one-half miles northwest of Centerton shortly before midnight Saturday, Oct. 20, 1934. She had been quite in for the past five weeks.
Funeral services were held at the Centerton M.E. Church Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, conducted by Rev. Wm. A. Gray, pastor of the M.E. Church of Bentonville. Music was by the choir of the Centerton Church, with Mrs. Ralph Cloe as accompanist.
Pallbearers were: E.S. Miller of Bentonville; F.C. Hughes, Jim Featherston, Ralph Cloe, Charles Wollard and Ben Foust. Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Burns Funeral Home of Bentonville.
Mrs. Gipple was 74 years old and was born in Rockbridge County, Virginia, Dec. 1, 1857. Mr. and Mrs. Gipple came to Benton County about 25 years ago, and have lived in the Centerton community since.
Besides Mr. Gipple who has been in poor health for the past few years, a daughter, Mrs. George Lee of Blytheville, Ark., is left to mourn her loss.
