MRS. BETTY STEPHENSON DIES AT THE AGE OF 81 YEARS
Mrs. Betty Stephenson, wife of the late Willis Stephenson, died at her home in the Tuck Chapel community Friday after an illness of some months.
Funeral services, conducted by H. N. Renfro of Avoca, were held Saturday afternoon at Tucks Chapel and burial made in the cemetery adjoining the chapel.
Mrs. Stephenson was born in New Madrid, in 1850 and came to Benton county in 1870. More than 60 years of her life had been spent on the farm where she died, or one adjoining it.
She was the mother of 11 children seven of whom survive. They are Mrs. May Gramnng of Avoca, Willis Stephenson of the home, Mrs. Charles Peak, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. J.L. Harrington of the home, Robert Stephenson, Avoca, Mrs. Malcolm Wahl near Pea Ridge and Cloe Stephenson of near Pea Ridge.
