As a Municipal Court Judge in Faulkner County, Arknsas in the cities of Conway, Vilonia, Guy, Mayflower and Greenbrier he had an effect on many people's lives. He was one of people who was instrumental in developing a continuing education program for all District Judges. Before he became a Judge he served as City Attorney for the City of Conway from 1974 until 1982. The professional affiliations that he was a part of include the Arkansas District Judge's Council where he served as past president and several other positions as well as on sevewral other committees.
He was appointed as Vice Chair of the Supervisory Board of the Arkansas Crime Information Center (ACIC) and was the very first Faulkner County Judge to implement the work service program. He served as past president of the Faulkner County Bar Association. His court was one of the very first in the state of Arkansas to participate in the Automated Case Management System for Arkansas courts. He was also instrumental in getting the Constitutional Amendment passed that changed the Municipal Court System in Arkansas to the District Court System.
He also served as past president and was an active member of the Faulkner County Fair Parade for over 36 years. He had served as an Eagle scout when he was younger and always supported Scouting throughout his lifetime because of that. He was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity of the Univerisity of Arkansas.
