Frank Oakes was born to Abraham and Cynthia Batten Oakes in 1868 in Iowa. He married Bertha January 30, 1897. They had 2 daughters Nellie and Vera. They lived in Chariton, Iowa. He and his first wife (unknown name) had children by the name of Clyde and Nora Angeline. Bertha and Frank divorced April 14,1925 in Lucas County Ohio.
