Co K 2 Arkansas Infantry
Civil War Union
March 4, 1843 - February 15, 1929
Oliver POOL was my great grandfather's (John James POOL) brother. The two of them served together in Company K, 2nd Arkansas Infantry Regiment during the Civil War. Oliver POOL's death certificate was in his Civil War records. It shows he was born 4 Mar 1843 and died 15 Feb 1929. It also indicates that he was buried in Hollywood Cemetery in Hot Springs, Arkansas. I was in that cemetery and took a lot of pictures.
His daughter, Cecelia Ann (POOL) HARWOOD, 11 Jan 1869 - 9 Dec 1944 and his granddaughter, Donna Ellen (HARWOOD) GILLIAM, 18 Apr 1887 - 19 May 1951, are also buried there.
His wife, Matilda (Anthony)Pool is buried in I.O.O.F. Cemetery - now Pine Crest Cemetery, in Mena, Polk Co., Arkansas.
