A.V. Holloway
STAR CITY — A.V. Holloway, 80, of Star City died Monday at his home in Star City.He was born Dec. 15, 1927, in Lincoln County, to the late Arley V. Holloway Sr. and Nolie Mae Rogers Holloway.He was a retired logger and member of the Star City Church of Christ and a Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Holloway of Star City; three sons, Mike Holloway of Kinston Springs, Tenn., Tim Holloway of Benton, Miss., Jeff Holloway of Star City; three daughters, DeShonn Nichols of Yazoo City, Miss., Dyanne Jackson of Star City and Nancy Mitcherson of Pine Bluff. Other survivors include a brother, Carl Gene Holloway of Star City; four sisters, Betty Ruth Carrington, Jo Ann Socia and Helen Carrington, all of Star City, Lois Baxter of Pine Bluff; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are 10 a.m. today at Heflin Cemetery near Star City with Mr. Carl Gene Holloway, Mr. Floyd Stratton and Mr. Melvin Baxter officiating.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Warren, Jimmy Ashmore, Tim Furneaux, Jeremy Hubbard, Chaz Jones, Zade Holloway, Shane Hubbard and Eric Holloway.
Arrangements are by Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.
