Malcom Pardon, 66, of Tillar died Tuesday, October 29, 2002, at his home. Born in Winchester to the late Jim R. and Martha Hartless Pardon, he was a retired farmer and a member of the Kelso Baptist Church and the Desha County Conservation League Hunting Club.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Moss Pardon; two daughters, Bonnie Lucinda Jones of Pine Bluff and Jacque Sue Falcone of Arlington, TX; one brother, James Pardon of Rison; three sisters, Dorothy Beaton of Boydell, Helen Davis of Rison, and Mary Baxter of Pine Bluff; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 31, in the Kelso Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Courtney officiating. Burial followed services at the Jefferson Cemetery in the Jefferson community near Winchester with Griffin Funeral Home of Dumas in charge.

Memorials may be made to the Kelso Baptist Church or the Gideons.


Josephine "Jo" Moss Pardon, 75 of Tillar, Ark. departed this life in Arlington, Texas, February 18, 2012. Jo was a graduate of Tillar High School, member of Kelso Baptist Church and retired from Desha County Soil Conservation. Survivors; two daughters, Cindy Jones, White Hall and Jacque Jones, Arlington, Texas; three brothers, Jimmy Moss, Dumas, Wayne Moss, Cleveland, Miss. and William Moss, Grenada, Miss.; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Services held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 22, Kelso Baptist Church, Rev. Floyd Stratton officiating. Interment in Jefferson Cemetery. Memorials to Kelso Baptist Church, P.O. Box 161, Rohwer, Ark. 71666.
