PARAGOULD — J.L. “Jimmy” Howe, 69, of Paragould, died Monday at his residence. He was born in Stonewall and was retired from the Buick Motor Division of General Motors. A Baptist, he was a Mason and Shriner.
Survivors include one son, Russell Howe of Clio, Mich.; four daughters, Gail Boardman of Jamestown, N.Y., and Nancy Allen, Lynette Bronson and Sandy Irwin, all of Flint, Mich.; three brothers, Alvin Howe of Hooker and Dan Howe and Garry Howe, both of Paragould; four sisters, Mary Hart of Hoxie and Helen Dearin, Martha LaRoe and Sharon Howard, all of Paragould; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Providence Baptist Church, with Charles Abanathy officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home of Paragould.
Active pallbearers will be Gilbert Hart, Dewayne Hart, Ronnie Hart, Larry Howe, Ronnie Howe and David Howe.
Honorary pallbearers will include David Stallings and Frankie Lynn Williams.
