Owen Meleslie Gillihan son of William Riley Gillihan Jr. and Ava Sefronia (Thompson) Gillihan. Lillie (Gulley) Gillihan daughter of John J Gulley and Mary Frances "Fanny" (Brewer) Gulley. Owen born in Twin Creek, Izard, AR and died in Mt View, Stone County, Arkansas. Lillie born in Evening Shade, Sharp County, Arkansas and died Calico Rock, Izard County, Arkansas.

Owen McLeslie Gillihan, age 83, of Rushing, AR, died January 25, 1975, in a Mtn. View, AR hospital. He was born May 2, 1891. He was the son of William R. and Ava Thompson Gillihan.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Church of Christ. He spent most of his life in Izard County.
Survivors include his wife, Myra Gillihan of Rushing; six sons, Willard Gillihan of CA, Eulon Gillihan of Mtn. View, Dallas Gillihan of CA, Ervin and Ray Gillihan of WA; two daughters, Hazel Thompson of Rushing, and Maxine Vines of Eudora, KA; 33 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Dora Hendrixson of OK.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lillie Gulley Gillihan.
Funeral service was held Monday, Feb. 27 at Howard Funeral Chapel in Melbourne with Bro. Ralph Wallace officiating. Burial was in Combs Cemetery by Howards.
Pallbearers were; Shelby Gillihan, Boyce Gillihan, Junior Gillihan, George Gillihan, Kenneth Gillihan and Jeff Gillihan.

Mrs. Lillie Gulley Gillihan, was born March 8, 1892, and departed this life October 17, 1962 at the age of 70 years, 7 months, and 9 days.
She was a member of the Church of Christ, having accepted Christ as her Savior early in life.
Survivors include her husband, Owen Gillihan, six sons; Willard of Placerville, CA, Eulon of Melbourne, Elmo of Placerville, Ervin and Ray of Longview, WA; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Thompson of Rushing, AR, and Mrs. Maxine Vines of Eudora, KA, two sisters; Mrs. Venitta Thompson of Melbourne, and Mrs. Salona Harris of Nettleton; one brother, Alonzo Gully of Melbourne, 33 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
