JONESBORO-- Bernard I. Weinstock, 73, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, Aug. 23, at his residence.

Born at Cambridge, Mass., he lived in Wellesley Hills, Mass., before moving to Jonesboro in 1969. He served in the United States Army and the U.S. Coast Guard from 1950-1955. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He worked at Frolic Footwear in Jonesboro for more than 25 years and spent 45 years in the women's shoe industry. He was a former member of the Craighead County Quorum Court, and a member of the Jonesboro Country Club, the Three Oaks Tennis Club and Temple Israel.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Weinstock, of the home; a daughter, Lisa Weinstock Sagely of Fayetteville; three sons, Lt. Col. Howard Lawrence Weinstock of Fredericksburg, Va., Michael Alan Weinstock of Richmond, Va., and Robert Mitchell Weinstock of Tampa, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, Max Weinstock, Kenneth Weinstock, Ryan Weinstock, Mark Weinstock, Stephen Weinstock, Matthew Weinstock, Jessica Weinstock, Nathan Weinstock, Sarah Sagely and Spencer Sagely.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at Emerson Memorial Chapel.

Memorials may be made to Temple Israel, the Craighead County Community Foundation or the charity of the donor's choice.
