Joseph V. “Joe” Hendrickson, 87, of Conway passed away Wednesday (July 30, 2003). He was born January 23, 1916, in Bartlesville, OK, to the late Thomas Cleveland and Alice Mae Woolly Hendrickson. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Kaye; and a brother, Vervian Clyde. He was a retired Army veteran of WWII and the Korean War and was a Methodist. He is survived by his wife, Jewell Grimes Hendrickson; two sons, David Hendrickson of Conway, and Tommy Joe Hendrickson and his wife Sandy of Tacoma, WA; one daughter, Paula Marks and her husband Ken of Del Mar, CA; one granddaughter, Theresa Elder of Seattle, WA; one great-granddaughter, Lauren Elder; three brothers, Thayer Hendrickson of Greenbrier, Walter Hendrickson of Denver, CO, and Carlos Hendrickson of Santa Rosa, CA; three sisters, Arless Hendrickson Wilson of Little Rock, Bonnie Jewell Hendrickson of Little Rock, and Geraldene Hendrickson Stevens of San Diego, CA; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 2, 2003) at the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel in Conway with Dr. John Farthing officiating. Burial will be in Republican Cemetery in Greenbrier. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 501-327-7727, www.rollermcnutt.com. Pallbearers will be Travis Perkins, Ed Erbach, Steve McNabb, Jim Freeman, Landon Yant and H.R. Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Carl Johnson, Burl Crafton, Oran Halsey and Maurice Brandon. Memorials may be made to the Greenbrier First United Methodist Church for mission work.
