REV. HUBERT PEARCE II
Bentonville -- Rev. Hubert Pearce II of Southwest City, Mo., died Wednesday at his home. Born Aug. 4, 1907, in Clarendon, he was a graduate of Hendrix College and Duke University and joined the Northwest Arkansas Methodist Circuit in 1934. He was a former pastor of the Bentonville Methodist Church and was in charge of building the present church building. He joined the Missouri Methodist circuit in 1962 and was pastor of the United Methodist Church in Southwest City at the time of his death. He was a member of the Bentonville Masonic Lodge, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Lions Club.

He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Lucille Henbest Pearce of the home; two sons, Hubert E. III of Little Rock and Capt. William Warren Pearce of the U.S. Air Force, Los Angeles, Calif.; two brothers, Floyd and Russell, of Clarendon, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Lou Houchens of Mount Ida.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Southwest City with graveside services at 12:30 p.m. in Bentonville Cemetery under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Bentonville.
