BENTONVILLE — Esther Geraldine Farnsworth, 93, of Bentonville died Sept. 24, 2002, at Bentonville Manor. She was born March 10, 1909, in Newton, Kan., to Rutherford and Eddie** Turney Pennington. She and her husband moved to the area in 1975 from Enfield, Conn. She was a graduate of John Brown University and was a first-grade teacher with the Connecticut School District for 25 years. She enjoyed directing school plays, playing the piano and the organ. Her husband, Winthrop Farnsworth, died Oct. 14, 1998.

Survivors include two daughters, Alma Jean McCaw of South Boro, Mass., and Geraldine Hutcheson of Bentonville; one son, Win Farnsworth of Casper, Wyo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Liberty Baptist Church in Bentonville with the Rev. Rex Rogers officiating.

Burial will be in Bentonville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Crabtree, Billy Crabtree, Vondon Bush, Steven Bush, Jeff Crabtree and Randy Delano.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Callison-Lough Funeral Service in Bentonville. The family will be present.

Memorials may be made to Liberty Baptist Church, 407 SW "F" St., Bentonville, 72712.

**Note: Esther's Mothers name was Etta not Eddie.
