Myrtle E. Hutchins, 93, of Conway, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008. She was born July 14, 1915, a daughter of the late Frank and Dessie (Reynolds) Battles. She is also preceded in death by her stepmother, Choice Battles; brothers and sisters, Bennie Battles, Dulsa Francis, Lois Mills and J. W. Battles.
Mrs. Hutchins was a member of the Robinson and Center Church of Christ. She loved her church and was well versed in the Bible. She loved sending and receiving cards of all types, and enjoyed reading Helen Steiner Rice poetry.
She is survived by her brother, Bobby Battles of Conway; sisters, Bronnie Ingram of Conway, Frankie Battles of Greenbrier and Willie Pearson of Broken Arrow, Okla.; a number of nephews, nieces and great-nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home with Mr. Tim Allison officiating.
Burial will follow in Copperas Springs Cemetery at Guy, under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway.
