Daughter of James Marion Meek and Susan Meek. The Meek family moved from York County, S.C. to Bradley County in the late 1850's/1860. She lived her life 17 years and 7 months. Her father died in the Civil War, at the battle of Chickamauga, a member of Co. I, 2nd Arkansas Infantry.
