Jackie Was born on July 29, 1933 in Black Rock, AR to Calvin and Anna Smith McLaughlin. She graduated from Black Rock schools in 1951. Upon finishing high school Jackie became a LPN nurse after attending the Arkansas Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Little Rock. She worked at the hospital in Paragould for 2 years. Jackie married Jay Baldridge on March 26, 1955. Soon after their marriage they moved to Flint, Michigan to start their new life together. They had two children Steve and Kim. She worked at Hurley Hospital in Flint, in the surgical department and in the emergency room. Jackie also volunteered at the DVA Ambulance Service. She was a member of the Central Assembly Pentecostal Church of God in Flint and was church secretary for many years.

After residing in Michigan for 29 years, she returned home to Black Rock in 1984. Jackie worked at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge for 30 years before finally retiring, she was a member of the New Full Life Gospel Church in Black Rock, where once again she was the church secretary for many years. Jackie loves to travel, go on adventures, and have fun. She was a strong, independent, amazing lady who will be missed by all.

Surviving are son, Steven of Black Rock; daughter, Kim (Ray) Quick of Swartz Creek, Michigan; grandsons, Jay, Joel, and Ethan Quick; great granddaughters, Sophee, Charlee, Debra, Marci, and Amanda; sister, Caroline Hester of Black Rock; a special life long friend, Lonnie Melton of Flint, Michigan; many nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Baldridge; her parents, Calvin and Anna Smith McLaughlin; sisters, Calverine Hill and Marian Francis; and a brother, Bud McLaughlin.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 12 P.M. at the New Life Full Gospel Church in Black Rock with Bro. Wayne Bryant and Bro. Chad Burton officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Forest Cemetery in Black Rock.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 5 P.M. till 8 P.M. at the Bryan Funeral Home in Hoxie.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Life Full Gospel Church Missionary Fund.
