Herman Joseph Wewers, 81, of Paris died Tuesday, July 11, 2006. He was retired from Cloyes Gear Plant as a machine operator, a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and a veteran of the Korean War in the U.S. Army. Preceding him in death were his parents, John W. and Rose (Lensing) Wewers; son, Donald Wewers; daughter, Evelyn Wewers; and sister, Stella Frederick. Rosary will be 8 p.m. today at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 14, 2006, at the church with burial at St. Benedict Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris. He is survived by his wife, Stella (Schluterman) Wewers of Paris; four daughters, Patti Yarbrough of Scranton, Janet Smalley of Conway, S.C., Anita Collier of Charleston, Donna Cunningham of Subiaco; a son, Edward Wewers of Clarksville; two sisters, Tina Dixon of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Rose Mary Reith of Fort Smith; three brothers, George Wewers of Boise, Idaho, Norbert Wewers of Lavaca, and Larry Wewers of Fort Smith; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers Mitch Wewers, Marcus Wewers, Eric George, Andrew Collier, Jeremy Williams and Brad Williams. Honorary pallbearers: Alex Scroggins, Adam Scroggins, Aaron Collier and Tyler Geels. Southwest Times Record, Fort Smith, Arkansas.
