Wesley the son of Henry B Combs and Mary Belle (Hasselback) Combs. Glenda (Angle) Combs the daughter of Marvin Angle and Annie Isaminger Angle.


Glenda Angle Combs

Glenda Angle Combs, 85, of Black Rock, died Nov. 28, 2009, at St. Bernards in Jonesboro.

Born Sept. 16, 1924, in Black Rock, she was the daughter of Marvin and Annie Isaminger Angle. A lifelong resident of Black Rock, she was a homemaker and a member of the Black Rock Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Wesley Combs, whom she married in Black Rock; a daughter, Ann Combs Rives; and two brothers, Owen Angle and Fred Angle.

Survivors include three daughters, Peggy Vandiveer and husband Rodney, Memphis, Patty Combs, Little Rock, and Sandy Bonner and husband Larry, Walnut Ridge; a son, Bobby Combs and wife Sue, Harrison; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral was Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Higginbotham Chapel with Rev. Ryan Johnston officiating. Burial was in Oak Forest Cemetery at Black Rock under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service.
