James F. Cook, 80, a resident of Lincoln, a retired horticulturist and former resident of Fayetteville, died this morning in a local rest home. Born Aug. 5, 1887, at Champgnole, Ark., the son of J.M. and Alice Cook, he was a member of the Methodist Church. He attended the University of Arkansas and was married to Rachel Quinn, Mar. 20, 1918 at Fayetteville.

He is survived, in addition to the widow of the home, by two sons, Jim F. of Columbia, S.C., Harris G. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., one daughter, Mrs. C.K. Tucker of Lincoln; nine grandchildren; two brothers, E.T. Cook of Wagoner, Okla. and Richard Cook of Houston, Tex.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Nelson's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rachel Cook, 87, of Lincoln, died Sunday in a local hospital. Born Aug. 25, 1892 in Winslow the daughter of Samuel and Sarilda Guinn, she was a Methodist and a retired school teacher.

Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Theodore J. Tucker of Lincoln; two sons, James of LeGrange, Ga. and Harris of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; one brother, John Guinn of Goshen; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Nelson's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Parks Cemetery.
