"Beloved Teacher"

Daughter of Charles and Ernestine Kauffman, and wife of the late Samuel E. Ethridge, she was supervisor of public education
and a Little Rock school teacher from 1915 to 1955, and taught confirmation classes at Temple B'nai Israel for some 50 years.


Hebrew Translation-Top of stone: Here Lies-This stands for po nikbar or po nitman meaning "here lies".
At the bottom: This is an abbreviation of a verse from the Bible from the first book of Samuel 25.29 "May his (her, their) soul be bound up in the bond of eternal life."
