NOTE: Based on the following facts I summize that the parents of Surlinda are most probably John G. HUGHES (son of George Washington HUGHES & Sarah PASCHAL) and Susana HANNA (daughter of Jeremiah Cassidy HANNA & Mary A. B. WATSON). John had no siblings married at this time. This burial is in the section of the cemetery with the old HANNA burials. John & Susana were married 17 Jan 1861. Based on Surlindas' death date and age enscribed on the gravestone her birthdate calculates to 20 October 1861.
