Joseph Franklin (Mac) Maxwell, 82, Rogers, died March 29 in Rogers Memorial Hospital. Born Feb. 19, 1894, in Chillicothe, Mo., he was the son of George F. and Cora Randolph Maxwell, a member of Central United Methodist Church, Rogers, and a veteran of World War I. He was an interior decorator in Kansas City, Mo.,for several years, moved to Rogers in 1940 and operated a paint and wallpaper store. He was a landscape artist as well. He was a life member of Disabled American Veterans, a member of the VFW and World War I Barracks.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bertha German Maxwell of the home; and two brothers, Thomas C. Maxwell, Webb City, Mo., and Clarence Maxwell, San Diego, Calif.
Graveside funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in Rogers Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Farley officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Rogers.
Visitation hours are tonight, in Burns Chapel, 6-8 p.m. Memorials may be made to American Heart Fund.
