FORT SMITH -- Nell O. Allwhite, 85, of Fort Smith, formerly of Batesville, died Saturday, Dec. 27, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center at Fort Smith.
Born at Cord, she was a homemaker and member of Calvary Baptist Church at Batesville.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Jennings of Fort Smith; two daughters, Sue Melton of Batesville and Robbie Allwhite of Fort Smith; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake W. and Janie Lance Fields, and one son, Jackie Wayne Jennings.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Union Cemetery near Cord, with Elvis Sneathern and Mark Bishop officiating. Qualls Batesville Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

FORT SMITH - Nell O. Allwhite, 85, of Fort Smith, formerly of Batesville, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at a Fort Smith hospital.
Born Oct. 5, 1918, at Cord, she was the daughter of Jake W. and Janie Lance Fields. She was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Batesville.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Jennings of Fort Smith; two daughters, Sue Melton of Batesville and Robbie Allwhite of Fort Smith; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Jackie Wayne Jennings.
