Aged 66 Yrs
A relative has this information to add: The headstone states that "Russle Cockburn" was "Aged 66 yrs." when he died on 15 Jul 1869. If he was born in 1804 like the headstone states, he would have been 65 years old. Therefore, he was either born in 1803 and died in 1869, born in 1804 and died in 1870, or his age is incorrect.
According to the US Federal Census Mortality Schedules Index, "Russell Cockburn" was born in 1804 and died in Jul 1870. Assuming that Russell was 66 years of age at his time of death, the Mortality Schedules Index dates could be correct. However, if he died in July, as both the Mortality Schedules Index and his headstone indicate, he likely died before Jul 1870, because Russell's wife, Celia Cockburn, is listed on the 25 Jun 1870 census alone. Therefore, I believe that Russell died on 15 Jul 1869, as written on his headstone. Furthermore, assuming that Russell was 66 years of age at his time of death, he was born between 16 Jul 1802 and 15 Jul 1803. (as told to Patti Vance Hays)
