Daly Leroy Lacy, 91 of Walnut Ridge died Wednesday July 31, 2019 in the Lawrence Hall Nursing Center.

Born April 5, 1928 in Maynard; son of the late Daly D. and Effie Hannah Lacy. He was proud to serve the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. In 1987 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Finch Lacy. Leroy retired in Batesville from Southwestern Bell Company after 37 years of being a construction foreman. He was a member of the Batesville Disaster Group for years and a member of the Batesville First Baptist Church and he served on the Mission Team for many years and enjoyed helping others during several mission trips. Leroy also was a Boy Scout Leader and help mold and mentor several youths throughout the years. Later in life the couple moved back to Walnut Ridge and Mr. Leroy was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge.

Leroy was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to many. He loved animals and the outdoors, his favorite pass time was to fish, and he was an experienced fly fisherman; he deer hunted and was active in a deer club in Southern Arkansas for years.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his 1st wife, Mary Ann Courtney Lacy; a brother, Riley Lacy; and two sisters, Nila Skaggs and Vera Thompson.

Survivors includes his wife, Elizabeth of the home; two sons, Courtney (Joy) Lacy of Batesville and Curtis (Judy) Goodwin of Walnut Ridge; a daughter, Cindy (Dale) Lance of Wellsville, KS; four grandchildren, Corey (Alicia) Lacy & Nicole Lacy all of Batesville, Chad (Kelly) Goodwin of Imboden and Cortney Goodwin of Jonesboro; five great grandchildren, Kindley Nicole Burks, Kourtley Lacy, Gunner Lee Lacy, Whitney and Beth Goodwin; and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be Friday, August 2, 2019 at 1:30 P.M. in the Lawrence Memorial Park with Bro. Jake Guenrich officiating. Pallbearers will be J.R. Cox, Tom Sloan, Lee Turnbull, Jeff Yates and Merl Mitchell. Honorary Pallbearers are the members of his 1st Baptist Sunday School Class.
