Oldest of seven children of Stirl and Ruby Moore. He was raised in Havana. He died much too young when he was working in Madill, Oklahoma in an accidental fall from atop an oil derrick after a drill operated by a co-worker jammed up and then suddenly came loose striking him and knocking him off the derrick.
