Hendrix Rites

Funeral services for Clarence Otis Hendrix, 61, of Lafe, who was killed in an automobile accident Sunday in Mendota, Ill., will be Saturday afternoon at 2 at the Lorado Baptist Church, with Rev. Wiley T. Adams officiating. Burial will be in Lorado Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Hendrix was born in Arkansas and was a veteran of World War II. He was a factory worker and had lived in Lafe seven months, formerly of Rockford, Ill. He was of the Freewill Baptist Belief.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elsie Hendrix of the home; a son, Kevin Hendrix of Rockford; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Patterson and Mrs. Patricia Moore, both of Rockford; three brothers, Ernest Hendrix of Keiser, Earle Hendrix of Bono, and Everette Hendrix of Sandy, Ore.; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Mabry of Walcott; his mother, Mrs. Maggie Hendrix of Bono; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Roy Hendrix, Donnie Hendrix, Mike Davis, Bennie Davis, Ricky Davis and Kenny Hancock. Honorary pallbearers will be the nephews.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home after 7 this evening until time for services.
