BELLA VISTA — Glenn Edward Sommers, 69, of Bella Vista died Oct. 29, 2006, at his home. He was born Nov. 20, 1936, in Hartford, Conn., to Elmer and Thelma Kellerhouse Sommers. He was an aerospace technician for Rockwell International (Boeing International), for 40 years. He married Myrna Paney in 1976. They moved to Bella Vista in 1995. He was a member of the Men's 18-Hole Golf Assonation, Jelly Bellies, Laker Golf Group, Sugar Creakers and the Monday Blues.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Myrna Sommers of Bella Vista; one stepson, Larry Paney of Colorado Springs; two stepdaughters, Cheryl Peterson and husband Richard of Colorado Springs, Julie Holladay and husband Steve of Lompoc, Calif.; two brothers, Richard Sommers of Fallbrook, Calif., Robert Sommers of San Jacinto, Calif.; one stepbrother, Walter Bensen of West Lake Village, Calif.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
A celebration of his Life will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Nov. 7 at the Metfield Club House in Bella Vista.
Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ALS Association, 27001 Agoura Road, Suite 150, Calabasas Hills, Calif.
