BELLA VISTA — William R. "Bill" Montgomery, 67, of Bella Vista died Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at Concordia Care Center in Bella Vista. He was born Oct. 17, 1934, in Clinton, Mo., to Guy Edwin and Matilda Marie (Hendricks) Montgomery.

He moved to Bella Vista three years ago from Wichita, Kan. He was a member of Bella Vista Church of Christ. He was a sales and marketing representative for Great Plains Industries for 18 years and traveled all 50 states. He was also an independent representative for three years. He was an avid golfer, a member of the 18-Hole Men's Golf Association and the Lakers Golf Group.

He is survived by his wife, Mary J. Montgomery of Bella Vista; four sons, David Montgomery of Overland Park, Kan., Brett Montgomery of Albuquerque, N.M., Jim Horsky and wife, Paula of Wichita, Kan., and Jeff Horsky and wife, Kim of Raleigh, N.C.; one daughter, Denise Croneis of Incline Village, Nev.; one sister, Marilyn Gormly and husband John of Cincinnati. Ohio, four grandchildren, Kayla Horsky, Jarrett Horsky, Aspen Croneis and Aaron Croneis.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2002, at the Bella Vista Church of Christ, 8889 W. McNelly Road, Bentonville, with Randall Caselman officiating.

Burial will be in Bella Vista Cemetery.

The family will receive family and friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2002, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bella Vista Church of Christ Youth Group, 8889 W. McNelly Road, Bentonville, 72712.
