BELLA VISTA — Margaret 'Mindy' Mindish, 77, of Bella Vista died March 17, 2000, at Bates Medical Center in Bentonville.
She was born April 11, 1922, in Johnstown, Pa., to George and Mary Mindish.
She graduated from Johnstown High School, the Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, and in 1955 from Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio, with a bachelor's degree in nursing.
She was a nurse in the U.S. Army for three years and in the Veterans' Affairs nursing service for 27 years. She was a member of VFW Post 9063 and St. Bernard's Women's Club and a NARTE associate. She was a volunteer for the Laubach Literacy program and the local Meals on Wheels program.
Survivors include one sister, Helen Daly of Ocala, Fla.; three brothers, John Mindish of Johnstown, Mike Mindish of Sidman, Pa., and Steve Mindish of Johnstown; one niece, Joan R. Albertson of Bella Vista.
A memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Enderlin officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the local Women's Abuse Center or the Bella Vista Animal Shelter.
Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.
