HAYES, N.C. -- Funeral services for Donnie Eldon HARE, 54, of Hayes, formerly of Hoxie, who died Wednesday, Jan. 8, at North Wilkesboro, N.C., will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Higginbotham Funeral Service of Walnut Ridge, with the Rev. Bob Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Lorado Cemetery at Sedgwick.
Pallbearers will be Michael Maxie, Ernie Lyles Jr., David Hicks, Cecil McKinney, Terry Lyles and Ernie Lyles.
Born in Eloy, Ariz., he was a carpenter.
Survivors include a daughter, Shandra Peterson of Rockford, Ill.; a son, Steven HARE of Rockford; his mother, Juanita Madden; five sisters, Evelyn McKinney of Rockford, Beverly Allison and Kathy HARE, both of Walnut Ridge, Mary Stegg of Tennessee and Ellen Eichstetd of Colorado; seven brothers, Ray HARE of Walnut Ridge, Larry HARE of Hardy, Paul HARE, Garry HARE, Bill HARE and Marvin HARE, all of Rockford, and David Madden of Hoxie; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
