BELLA VISTA — Marthabel Doty Harlow, 82, of Bella Vista died Jan. 22, 2002. She was born Jan. 23, 1920, in Dayton, Ohio, to Walter G. and Ida Wallace Doty. She had been a resident of Bella Vista since 1989. She was a member of the Bella Vista Baptist Church, the Christian Women's Club, the Arkansas chapter of Mayflower Descendants, the Pilgrim Edward Doty Society, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the National Society of New England Women. She was founder and director of the 50-Plus program for seniors at the Racine (Wis.) Bible Church from 1971 to 1980.
Survivors include her husband, Lee Harlow, to whom she was married 58 years; two sons, Richard and wife Diana and James and wife Bonnie; one daughter, Debbie and husband Joe Salinas; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
A family gathering will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Bella Vista Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bella Vista Baptist Church with Joe Baker officiating.
