ROGERS — Janie C. Chapman, 85, of the Innisfree Nursing Center in Rogers died June 13, 2002. She was born April 7, 1917, in Great Falls, Montana, to W.C. and Maude E. Miller Germaine. She and her husband owned and operated movie theaters in Rushville, Neb., and Lemmon and Mobridge, S.D. She moved to Bella Vista in 1977. She was preceded in death in 1959 by her husband, Douglas Chapman, to whom she was married in 1939.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Ben Fowler of Bentonville; two sons, James Chapman of Henderson, Nev., and Douglas Chapman and his wife, Gloria, of Bella Vista; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Helen Germaine and Jeanne Germaine, both of French Camp, Calif., and Melda Telford of Roseville, Calif.; one sister-in-law, Meldred Chapman of Bella Vista.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Mpnday in the Bella Vista Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Sinkler officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3405 Bella Vista Way, Bella Vista, 72114.
Arrangements are by Stockdale Funeral Services in Rogers.
