Jun 4, 1920 – Obituary

Melvina A. Billings was born November 1st 1886. Died May 12th 1920 aged 32 years.

She professed faith in Christ at the age of 17 years. Married Lincoln J. Moser September 19, 1907. To this union was born eight children, four boys and four girls. Melvina was a loving wife, mother and neighbor. To know her was to love her.

All was done for her that loving friends and physicians could do, but our Father seemed to say “You have fought a good fight, you have finished; your work is well done; come up higher.”

Why should we mourn for her when her last words were singing God’s praises? And to her husband she said; “You do not know how well I love you.” May God’s richest blessings ever be with the father, mother, husband, brothers, sisters and children. Mourn her not dead, but only sleeping. As her song was “Asleep in Jesus, peaceful sleep’ please dear ones think of this line so as to meet dear Melvina in a home not made with hands.

We are lonely, and sad,. We are lonely since dear mother’s gone. She is sleeping with her Savior, she has joined the happy angel band.

The remains was laid to rest in the Reeves Cemetery to await the resurrection morn. Bro. Walter Love conducted the funeral services. -------------- by, a Sister-in-law, Laura M. Fulks.
